A Word from Nannies Funded by AHF

We are pleased to add some information about a couple of the nannies that are employed to serve the children because of AHF.

Aberash Zewge and Debrework Afework both work at Kebebe Tsehay Orphanage in Ethiopia. They answered a few questions for us and they are posted below.

What does a typical work day look like and what activities do you perform?
“Feeding children, changing diapers, changing clothes, caring for the little ones, putting them to bed, and playing with children.”

What is the most challenging part of your job?
“Bathing the special needs children is the most challenging work as the children can’t control themselves, so it’s difficult to wash them.”
“When I see babies get sick and specifically when the little ones deceased, I really get that as a big challenge.”

What is the favorite part of your job?
“Feeding the children. I work with special needs children and when I see them finish his/her portion of food, it makes me so happy.”
Feeding bottle for the infant babies is the favorite part of my job.”

Hopefully, this gives everyone a brief look into their world and ways we can pray for them. Thanks to America World Adoption Agency for facilitating the interviews and pictures.
